News: Holiday Postcards or Sales Plans

Release date: 14th May 2010

Melanie on BeachThe newest recruit at the Heart of England Conference and Events Centre could be forgiven for writing holiday postcards rather than sales plans.

Melanie Kerkeni has been appointed sales and business development manager at the venue which boasts England’s most central beach in Meriden Road, Fillongley.

The creation of the Heart Country Park and Beach is among the many features that Melanie is promoting to organisers of conferences, exhibitions, events and meetings as well as its state-of-the-art conference facilities for gala dinners, product launches and award ceremonies.

“It is great going to work every day and seeing our corporate guests making the most of our outdoor space whether it is It’s A Knockout as part of a team building day or having a go at pedalo racing,” said the 30-year-old.

“The beach and country park sets us apart from other venues because it is a fantastic selling point to organisers looking for somewhere a little bit different to hold their events or team-building activities.

“Corporate events should be fun and with businesses now making every pound count in the economic recession, we believe we have all the necessary facilities to ensure delegates leave Heart of England having had a memorable experience.

“Our location in the middle of England is another selling point for UK-wide businesses who are bringing together members of staff from all over the country because then delegates only have a couple of hours’ drive at the maximum.

“I am looking forward to increasing our client base and forging new relationships with customers as well as getting to know our current clients.”

Melanie has previously worked as a sales manager at Folio Hotels in the region as well as the former Macdonald Brandon Hall Hotel and Spa and Ansty Hall Hotel near Coventry.
