In September 2011, Finning worked with Heart Conference and Event Centre to deliver the annual family day for employees. The event comprised an Employee challenge for 7 teams, an arena of Bike displays and music, static attractions, catering, and various 'rides' around the Park. The location is completely purpose built for such a day and we were lucky that Heart Park even managed to arrange for the rain to hold off!! Their staff were smiling, willing and helpful throughout the day and very responsive to arising needs as they presented themselves, in many cases going the extra mile to help us out. I would say that every member of their team worked extremely hard, along with ours to make sure that the day was deemed a success and judging from the feedback we have received from employees I think this was achieved. Heart Park showed an excellent ability to integrate with ourselves in order to work effectively as one joined up team. Well done and thanks for a great day!

The family fun day was fab! We are getting fantastic feedback from the 723 Staff who attended (disappointing in itself, but marvellous considering the weather conditions!), and those who didn't attend (mostly because they couldn't BELIEVE for a second that it would go ahead!) are now regretting their decision, as they listen to the stories of the brave souls who came, and thoroughly enjoyed it (one die-hard said it was the best ever!)
